Geospatial-temporal Visualization

GPE data and GeoTemCo

We employed the GeoTemCo, an open source library for visualization and display of geospatial-temporal data developed by Leipzig University in Germany, as the tool for visualization. The GeoTemCo provides a ready-to-use web-based platform with interactive maps, tags, tableau, and timeline, which allows us to map the GPE (mainly countries, cities, states) type entities. With a slight modification to our data, we utilized the GeoTemCo to make a webpage of interactive world map with tags of countries, date, related keywords, and thumbnails of The Observatory Review to allow further access to the Tabloid Newspaper collection by simply clicking.
