The text mining group applied two Voyant tools, Cirrus and Links, to visualized the most freuqent words and their relationships used when discussing the the responses of the Hong Kong Government during SARS epidemic. They hypothesized the focus of the Hong Kong Government when they fight against the virus.
One of the most well-known measures to tackle epidemic is quarantine. During the outbreak of SARS in Hong Kong, the Lady MacLehose Holiday Village was used as a site for quarantine. To allow everyone experience how quarantine was in 2003, the 3D modelling group rebuilt the rooms for quarantine.
SARS heavily hit the economy of Hong Kong, particularly tourism. The data analyze group created charts illustarting changes of the economy of Hong Kong before and after SARS epidemic in the city; they explained how did the responses of the government contribute to the changes.
